Well we went up and charmed the dragon this weekend and it was a blast! Absolutely unbelievable! Camped out at a KOA and ran into a group holding a rally they hold annually every year which was cool as well and they were great and friendly guys. Def gonna have to plan a trip first thing in the spring and head back for the rally next year! Pics are making it up on fb...

Dude, I hope you got to actually 'ride' it and not get stuck behind ma and pa on their Goldwing crossing the double yellow.

Haha surprisingly no! I was actually amazed how cool all the car drivers were...they actually got off the road to let us around them, well all the locals at least but was still a nice change from florida drivers actually trying to take you out! As for bikers we caught the last end of the season so it was nice not having a couple thousand bikes all over the place...

My first ride through Deal's Gap, I was amazed when cars started pulling off the road, letting me pass. Simply amazed. That's unheard of around here. The folks in the NC mountains are FAR MORE biker friendly than they are around here.

By my third trip to the NC mountains, I was actually getting peeved at the slow cars that DIDN'T pull over to let me pass. Talk about getting spoiled. :)

Glad you had a good time. It must've been real chilly! Especially camping out!!

Did you get to ride the Cherohala Skyway? It is an awesome ride I think a lot of people overlook.
