Changing color scheme on my ride...
« on: 06/08/11 09:20PM »
Going to black/red which means I need to ditch the black and yellow bannnnnnana seat on my F4. So it's either find an all black one used (bout 60 bucks on good ole ebay) or check into prices of getting mine re -upholstered  with some red and black which I think would be pretty cool and original but $$$ is an issue I don't have any money trees  :(

any one know of any places that do that kind of thing for motos or an idea of prices?

or if its a fairly easy D-I-Y project?

or if Bee wants to trade me seats????  ;)  ;D

to change mine to black and red was going to be around 120 buckaroos which considering his per hour rate was 70 you figure its gonna take him at least that to take the old off and put new on then the cost of materials?....seemed pretty fair to me...everybody has to make a buck

Wow, you know, this doesn't look too hard....

How to recover your motorcycle seat on the cheap!

Video is from a local guy, by the way.

it doesnt LOOK hard, get to doin it and you'll be so frustrated and the seat will be all wrinkly and not tight....lol plus what I'm wanting isnt quite as simple since it will require stiching in a second color on the back half and down the sides....yeah I'll spend the dough and ditch the stress and just have it done for me LMAO

Oh, that's true. Anything more complex than a simple cover is definitely worth paying for and that price you quoted wasn't too bad. But I think I'll try it and see how it goes.

cause i already have the paint for the bike for what im wanting to do for that and ummm that won't take me nothing to do cuz Immmmmm a painter if you've forgotten.... ;D Im leaving the plastics black just painting the frame and swing arm red, and getting that damn back wheel black instead of yellow! then either getting an all black seat off ebay for 60 or my seat re upholstered  black/red for the 120.
