Not new to Tally, but new to the forum
« on: 08/05/11 06:41AM »
Well I figured since all my friends with bikes have either moved or sold their bikes... time to find some people who ride here in Tally.

I've lived in Tally on and off for about ten years now. I bought my first motorcycle summer of 2009, a Honda RC51. I sold it about 7 months later because I was headed back to the sandbox. I returned home a couple months ago and just picked up a '05 1000RR Repsol.
I love the bike.

I'm an amateur rider and I know it. That isn't to say I haven't played with my bikes a little... and so far I'm still alive. My main issue is I love to go fast. I keep it under control around town, and not because of tickets. I don't want to hurt anyone else just because I'm being retarded on the road. As most of you know the people in cars don't seem to share my concerns.

Well, anything else you want to know just ask.

-Wes

Welcome Wes! Nice bike, and good attitude. I think you'll fit in well around here!

Yeah, that seems to be a common theme in Tally. Lots of comin' and goin'.

You've seen me around lately? I've been riding mainly at night or early mornings and have only had the bike about a month now. I think more people notice the t-shirts I wear than the bike I'm on. The "Stay back 100 meters or you will be shot" shirt tends to keep people from getting too close. lol (It says the same thing underneath in Arabic.)

I think I should clarify on my statement about keeping it under control in town. 99% of the time I do, but there are times that I dump the throttle to get away from people that I can tell are texting or just suck at driving in general. I also get up to the speed limit in a "timely manner" off the line. The more space between myself and everyone else, the happier I am.

Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome. I'm glad to be here.

yeah I'm sure I didn't mistake your bike for another. I believe it was on n Monroe somewhere u were heading southbound maybe around the tharpe area. Don't hold me to it tho hell I can barely remember what i did yesterday. it was within the last few weeks. I remember asking myself, "wonder if he bought that bike from orions?" Cause i had thought i had seen that bike at orions before. The one by hooters.

Didn't know Orion was selling a Repsol. They didn't have any at the Tharpe St. location when I have gone by. At least not that I have noticed.
I bought both my bikes from Precision Motorsports.

Anyway, it might have been me. I did drop by the mall last week to talk to the guys at the Army recruiting station there.
