If you can hit a snake that small with a 40 cal, you're a pretty good shot. I've only been to the range once, but I was having problems hitting an 8" target from 10 yards. :)

Not trying to hijack the tread. Mark we need to go to the range and get some practice. I want to go to Otter Creek one weekend. Besides a being a regular range they have a steel plate range which looks like real fun.

I'm definitely in! I've been reading about Otter Range on TGF and thinking I want to try it out. Tiff wants to go, too. She's never shot the Sigma and needs to get familiar with it.

When do you want to go? Gonna have to be on a Saturday, probably, because I believe they're closed Sunday and I work Mon-Fri.

Not to change the subject (again) but, if you guys decide to go to the range, can I get in on that? I would like to get some practice in...

Sure! We'll nail down a weekend soon. Couldn't do it this weekend b/c I have too much to do, but perhaps next weekend.

Mark, I just got back from the Gun Show. If you need some ammo, Georgia Arms has 165 grain FMJ 40 S&W - 50 rnds $14, 500 rnd Cans $135. That is an awesome price.

That is an awesome price and Georgia Arms makes some good ammo but I do miss the days when 1000 rnds was about $200 for 40 cal and .223 was $250  :'(

.223 and .308 is still crazy expensive...I've been wanting to get started reloading but been lazy

Steve-O does reloading, he likes doing it but its not really a viable way of saving money because of the time spent.
