I've got a head way too large for a Sparx. Also I'm kinda on the fence about them. Know a lot of people who wear them, but I'd like something a little more solid feeling, especially after this wreck.

As far as my head goes, lemme put it this way. I wear a size 8 fitted hat and its tight enough to give me a headache.

That pretty much sums it up.

Ok I've decided Arai is out unless I come across the Tommy Hayden "Tommy Gun" Edition in my size, new. That'll never happen.

I've struck down Shoei, Sparx, HJC, KBC, AGV, Bell.

Need to look at the Sharks and the Scorpions, and I think Precision might have some Icons that will fit me last I checked.

I have a scorpion EXO-1000, its a great helmet. Although I had a couple of issues with it they took care of it under warranty. (three years on most all parts) When I got it back they had completely rebuilt the inside and replaced both of the visors. (internal sunshade and outer) It is a high quality helmet although I do not know about the sizing for a large head.

I think the search is over.

I went to Precision today to talk to them about helmets, since EVERY single person that works there either rides every day as commuters or does track days.

Going in, I knew I wanted a firm but plush liner that wicks sweat and was easy to clean, a sleeker design than that bulky replica "Halo ODST" helmet I had before, and of course wanted my usual nobody-else-wears-this style.

I'll admit, before that wreck, I kinda was worried about how my Icon would hold up in a substantial head trauma crash. Not anymore. That thing impressed the hell out of me, and I see no reason why to cross them off the list of helmets as long as they keep making those stupid Speed Kretin fins optional and not mandatory. ( Yes Zane, that's for you and your Krazy Klown helmet ;D)

I've fallen in love with the Icon Alliance SSR Headtrip; its bright, has my necessary weird graphics, and kinda reminds me of Rossi's previous helmets. They didn't have one in my size, but said they can order me one as long as Parts Unlimited has it. Just looked, and they do!

As soon as I get a check cut out for me (probably later this month) I'm going to order it.

Haha dont hate on the ridiculous looking fins. xD But I am glad you stuck with Icon, especially being how your last one treated you, and a few other that I know that have went down with them. Helmet looks good though, pretty similar colors to my Krazy Klown one I am gonna get.

Thanks! Gonna talk to the insurance adjuster tomorrow and see if we can get my bike out of the shop and get my helmet ordered this week.

The padding never wore out for me. The fabric was getting thin from my beard I think, but it was still really springy.

I think Icon has some of the coolest helmet designs. I really like them.  .... Nice helmet, Zach!     ... I've never tried on an Icon helmet, so I don't really have an opinion on how they feel. Everyone has a different shaped head anyway, so how it feels just depends on the person.  :)
